The solution was based on a distributed I/O configuration accommodated by an Ethernet architecture, encompassing energy saving and maintenance friendly functionality, complete with a directive to achieve a cycle time of 50 UPH.
The total system was conceptualised, designed, installed and commissioned into a new vehicle phased production program within 40 weeks.
